VER 1.01 - Changed hit point routine when being healed to prevent negative
- hit points from being generated
- Fixed run time Error when entering a number not available for
- weapons or armor
- Added tickler message for 3rdparty.dat installation
- Easier Registeration codes (and backward compatible)
VER 1.02 - Fixed a bug that allowed too much gold and or experience to be
won in the caves.
- Changed the way that GOLD was added to players gold when they
beat the monsters in the caves.
- Changed the way that EXP was added to players exp when they
beat the monsters in the caves.
This fix was made due to a bug report made by Tim Strike of
Forbidden Knights BBS. Thanks Tim!
I set it up localy and allowed 30000 monster fights
of which I used 1097 of them. After these 1097 mon
fights at a level 6 I had aquired 10,000,000 coins.
- Made the drinks allowed SysOp configurable.
VER 1.03 - Programmer error resulted in 1.02's updateing routines only
working for users of Windows 95. I made a change in the routine
to allow it to be used on previous versions of dos too.
Sorry for the inconvience here all. This is the only fix in
this version.
- Made the number of drinks you can get SysOp configurable.
(defaults to 5).
- Added self updating code to both TVSETUP.EXE and THOMVILL.EXE
so that the sysop will not need to run any conversion program.
It automaticaly detects the version and updates the data files
if they have not been updated.
- Found a run time error and it's cause. Fixed it! It could
occur in the caves if you ran into too many events, you would
get run time error 4 (too many files open).
VER 1.04 - Fixed bug that allowed TV's Monsters to get filthy rich if they
bested a player who had 0 gold. This was the largest source of
the problem with getting too much gold in the caves. Once again
my thanks go out to Tim Stike for giving me detailed steps to
reproduce this error.
- Improved SHARE detection. It was not detecting share properly
under windows 95.
- Cosmetic changes to TVSETUP. It is now clearer on letting you
know that ThomasVille IS INSTALLED or IS NOT YET INSTALLED into
your 3rdparty.dat file. My thanks go out to Della Moore for
pointing out that my previous methode was somewhat confusing.
